Overview
Jamus the Red is a feared and flamboyant red Dragonborn pirate, captain of the infamous warship The Ashwake. Known for his molten temper, cruel charm, and fiery raids along the coasts of the Azure Span, Jamus has carved his name into legend with smoke, steel, and blood. A pirate lord in all but name, Jamus rules a loose flotilla of cutthroat captains under the banner of the Scorched Tide.
Appearance
Jamus is a towering Dragonborn with shimmering crimson scales, long black braids threaded with gold coins, and piercing amber eyes that seem to glow when angered. His armor is scorched and patched from dozens of battles, and he wields a wickedly curved saber named Emberfang, rumored to drink the soul of those it kills.
Background
Born in the volcanic archipelago of Drak’mor, Jamus was raised among fire-worshippers and raiders. He left the islands under unknown circumstances — some say exile, others say vengeance. He rose quickly in the pirating world, taking his first ship in a bloody mutiny before the age of twenty.
Jamus forged the Ashwake from the charred wreckage of three ships he burned in a single night. With it, he’s laid waste to merchant fleets, naval patrols, and even rival pirate lords. He’s not merely a marauder — he’s a tactician and a showman, known for dramatic entrances and terrifyingly theatrical raids.
