To most, he is merely the gruff yet kindly dwarven proprietor of Clanghammer Rest, a well-worn tavern frequented by adventurers and merchants alike. In this guise, he appears as an elderly dwarf with a thick white beard, deep-set golden eyes, and a booming laugh that shakes the rafters.
Despite his warm demeanor, Barok's true nature is that of a wise and vigilant guardian, ever watchful for threats to Waterdeep’s greatest treasures. Beneath the act of a simple tavern keeper lies a calculating mind and centuries of experience, ensuring that those who seek the vault’s riches face the full wrath of an elder wyrm before they ever lay a hand on them.
