Fredrick is a meticulous and eccentric Tabaxi aquarist who tends to Sylgar, Xanathar’s beloved pet goldfish. With sleek orange fur, piercing green eyes, and a perpetual smell of saltwater clinging to his robes, he is as much a caretaker as he is a survivor in the crime lord’s paranoid underworld.

Despite working for one of Waterdeep’s most feared figures, Fredrick remains oddly cheerful, his sharp wit and nimble paws keeping him one step ahead of Xanathar’s infamous mood swings. While most see him as just a fishkeeper, those who dig deeper discover that Fredrick knows far more about Xanathar’s dealings than he lets on—and he has his own reasons for staying in the beholder’s good graces.
